The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) affects every organisation that manufactures, imports, fills, sells or transports packaged products for the EU market. The impact of this legislation, which entered into force on 12 August, is significant. Over time, non-compliance may result in loss of market access and substantial fines.
Many companies are now moving from understanding the legislation to applying it in day-to-day decisions. This raises practical questions: how do you determine your role under the PPWR, map packaging across products and markets, collect the right supplier data, and translate requirements into workable actions?
That is why, together with our Grant Thornton Denmark colleagues, we are organising a webinar on the practical application of the PPWR on Tuesday 13 October at 15:00.
We will share key learnings from client projects and use real-life examples to discuss common challenges, practical choices and lessons learned across different organisational contexts.
The session is designed for organisations at different stages of PPWR implementation, whether you are just getting started or already more advanced, and are looking for practical tips to move forward.
You will learn:
- considerations that may arise when determining roles and responsibilities under the PPWR;
- common points of attention around data availability and supplier information;
- how companies can prioritise actions without waiting for every detail to be clarified;
- what practical lessons from real-life PPWR projects can help your organisation prepare effectively.
