2026 Salary Threshold Changes

The Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) annually adjusts the minimum salary requirements for Highly Skilled Migrants and other employees relocating from outside the EU to the Netherlands. Salary thresholds for 2026

The IND has announced the new salary thresholds for Highly Skilled Migrants effective in 2026. These thresholds apply to all applications - both new hires and extensions - submitted in 2026. Applications filed in 2025 must still meet the 2025 thresholds.

Please note:
Change of employer notifications submitted in 2025 with a start date in 2026 must comply with the 2026 salary threshold.

One, two or three sustainability measures Integrated sustainability project
Subsidy: 20% of the eligible costs (including energy advice and energy label)
Subsidy: 30% of the eligible costs (including energy advice and energy label)
Minimum subsidy amount: €2,500
Minimum subsidy amount: €25,000
Maximum subsidy amount: €1.5 million
Maximum subsidy amount: €1.5 million

 

IND legal fees for 2026

The IND has also updated its legal fees for 2026:

  • Recognised sponsorship application fee: 
    • Companies with fewer than 50 employees: € 2.539
    • Companies with more than 50 employees: € 5.080
  • Application fee for Highly Skilled Migrant, EU Blue Card, and ICT permits: € 423
  • Application fee for family-based dependent permits: € 254
