Anne Hofman

After graduating from the University of Amsterdam, Anne began her career at a law firm in Amsterdam. She has since built up several years of experience at Grant Thornton, where she supports organisations with a wide range of (international) employment law and HR-related matters. Her clients see her as a trusted and approachable sparring partner.

Anne advises both Dutch and international organisations daily, covering topics such as cross-border employment, international secondments, temporary assignments, and the legal structuring of flexible working arrangements. She also supports clients with reorganisations, dismissals, long-term illness, changes to employment terms, and a variety of complex individual employee cases. Her legal expertise is always balanced with a strong understanding of people and organisational dynamics.

Sustainable employment practices are an increasingly important focus in Anne’s advisory work. She helps organisations develop policies around good employment practices, long-term employability, and green employment benefits. She also regularly supports international businesses setting up operations in the Netherlands, helping them establish a sound legal framework for their Dutch workforce.

In addition to her client work, Anne regularly writes about developments in employment law and sustainable employment. She also delivers workshops and presentations, translating legal content into practical guidance for HR professionals, senior leadership, and management teams.

With an academic background in art history, Anne brings a fresh perspective to her legal practice. She moves easily between strategic thinking and day-to-day challenges and has a talent for making complex legal issues clear, relevant, and actionable. Clients appreciate her open approach, sharp analysis, and the ease with which she helps them find a way forward.
