Raymond began his career at Grant Thornton more than 20 years ago. At the same time, he started his studies in Fiscal Economics at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. He subsequently completed a professional training programme at the Federation of Tax Academies (now the Register of Tax Advisers), where he obtained the RB and MB qualifications in 2008.
He started his career in the compliance department, gaining extensive experience in preparing tax returns for both SMEs and complex corporate structures. After roughly 15 years, Raymond moved to the advisory practice, where he now advises clients on a wide range of tax matters on a daily basis. His clients include high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses.
He is an all-round adviser with a focus on personal and corporate income tax. Throughout his long career at Grant Thornton, he has built strong relationships with various teams and specialists within the firm, both in the Netherlands and across our international network. This enables him to introduce clients to relevant experts within the organisation, including specialists in audit, legal, valuation and other tax advisory services. He collaborates closely with highly specialised advisory teams to deliver the best possible solutions for clients, combining his extensive tax expertise with a strong understanding of people and organisations.
