Bart Jonker to leave Grant Thornton
Alphen aan den Rijn, 20 January 2026 - Grant Thornton Netherlands announces today that Bart Jonker, Member of the Executive Board and Partner, has informed the Supervisory Board of his decision to step down from his position.
After seven years on the Executive Board, during which the firm experienced significant growth and successfully joined the multinational, multidisciplinary platform established by Grant Thornton Advisors LLC in the United States, Bart has concluded, in close consultation with the Supervisory Board, that this is the right moment to hand over his responsibilities.
With more than 26 years of dedicated service to Grant Thornton as a partner and seven years of impactful leadership at board level, Bart believes this transition will best serve the firm as it enters its next phase and continues to pursue its strategic ambitions.
Bart Jonker will step down effective 15 February 2026 and has agreed to remain available to the Board in an advisory capacity until mid-April 2026, ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition.
