Companies join forces to offer AccessData's new Quin-C Legal software product, hosted and managed by Grant Thornton's forensic and investigative team.
AccessData Group, a leading provider of integrated digital forensics and e-discovery software, today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership in Europe with Grant Thornton Forensic & Investigation Services B.V. in the Netherlands, to deliver a comprehensive legal review and forensic investigation solution in a hosted environment.
"We have cultivated an excellent relationship with Grant Thornton over the past six years, as they have participated in our client advisory board and provided us with valuable feedback in the development of our products," said Abdeslam Afras, vice president of international markets for AccessData. "This strategic partnership evolved organically from that relationship as we each saw an opportunity to collaborate on delivering a solution for European customers that leverages our respective strengths."
The combined offering from the two firms is a turnkey solution for law firms and corporate legal departments in Europe to manage forensic collections, data processing and legal review. AccessData will provide the software technology that powers the solution; Grant Thornton will provide the professional services and the hosted platform.
"Our longstanding, positive experience with AccessData products and services makes us confident that Quin-C will enable us to provide an excellent service to our clients," said Mark Hoekstra, partner, Grant Thornton Forensic & Dispute Services Netherlands.
The solution is built around Quin-C Legal, a pioneering new software product from AccessData designed specifically for legal investigations. The product was developed in response to growing challenges that law firms and corporate legal departments are facing with digital investigations, which are primarily fueled by larger data collections to process and more complex data types to analyze.
"Quin-C Legal delivers advanced digital analysis technology that is not found in any other product on the market, including true AI tools that monitor workflow and enhance future investigation," said Afras. "Built directly on top of the powerful processing capabilities of our well-known Summation® software product, Quin-C Legal supports compelling new visualizations, an all-HTML5 interface and customizable workflows."
All of the professional services to execute, host and manage client investigations will be provided by Grant Thornton [ 981 kb ]. These services include the following:

The vision for the turnkey solution is to make state-of-the-art software tools and industry-leading professional services available to European law firms and corporate legal departments that lack the time or resources to spin up their own platform for managing forensic investigations.
