Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board (SB) has a supervisory role vis-à-vis the Executive Board and was appointed on 1 October.

Until 1 October 2015, the members council represented the members meeting and had a supervisory role for the Executive Board. From 1 October 2015, the SB was installed and the members council dissolved. The Public Interest Committee has become a core committee of the Supervisory Board. Until 1 October 2015, the Public Interest Committee was composed of 3 members, 1 internal member and 2 external members. From 1 October, the 2 external members of the Public Interest Committee were been appointed as commissioners.

The duties of the SB are in line with the provisions in the report ‘In the Public Interest’. The most important task of the SB is safeguarding the public interest, which translates into a supervisory role vis-à-vis the Board, relating to the strategic direction, quality control and assessment of risk management, the quality of managerial decision-making and remuneration policy.

The SB is composed of:

  • Tjark de Lange (chairman), reappointed per 1-1-2021
  • Cokky Hilhorst (member), reappointed per 1-7-2023
  • Natasja Baroch (member), appointed per 1-7-2020

The commissioners are chosen for a period of 4 years, with extension possible twice; a rotation schedule is made.
