Bart has been head of IT within Grant Thornton NL since 2022. A role within the central service with a responsibility that is very broad and takes place within the field of ICT. From infrastructure, (digital) workplace to support and information security to renewals and innovation.

Bart has an IT background in business computer science. The pivot between business (demand) and IT (solution) is where he likes to be. His goal is to help business by conceiving, developing and maintaining high-quality IT solutions together. These solutions must be of high quality that adds value to products/services, increases efficiency and be flexible to respond quickly to changes.

He stands for getting the best out of a person by putting someone in his/her power in what he/she is good at and gives energy. Bart has worked in IT for 23 years and has experience in software development and quality assurance. He started his career as an independent entrepreneur and later worked in management positions at Ordina and Salves. He made the move to Grant Thornton in 2022 based on his ambition to be on the other side of the table.
