Stefan Popelier is Manager Tax at Grant Thornton. Within this segment, he works as a pension consultant. He mainly deals with pension agreements between employer and employee. He also helps to clarify employee benefits and ensures that the right choices are made in matters that are important to employees. The extent to which a risk needs to be covered plays an important role in this.

As a child, Stefan Popelier did not expect to work as a pension consultant. Yet he fell for the dynamic profession, where he can contribute to the financial fitness of the employee in all aspects of financial de-risking. Not only is pension an important condition of employment, it is increasingly a strategic component in HR. It helps to retain employees, but also to attract new employees.
