Slavisa completed his accounting studies at Nyenrode Business University in 2018. This year, he obtained the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Reporting and Assurance diploma from the University of Groningen. Since 2019, Slavisa has been working at Grant Thornton, where he quickly progressed from manager to partner. He manages a diverse portfolio of national and international clients in the transportation & logistics, trade, manufacturing, and services sectors. Within Grant Thornton, Slavisa actively promotes innovation in the audit practice and the development of ESG Assurance.

Cees Man – Assurance

Cees Man

Cees finished his accountancy education at the University of Amsterdam and subsequently became a Registered Accountant with the NBA. In addition to over 20 years of audit experience, Cees also gained 2 years of experience outside the audit practice as an operational director, enabling him to understand the dynamics at play with clients.

Cees has been working for Grant Thornton for 5 years now, with 4 of those years spent as an external accountant managing his own portfolio of clients in the large SME/mid-corporate segment. His current client portfolio includes a wide range of national and international companies across various sectors such as trade, manufacturing, and services, where he collaborates with the international GT network.

Cees: "I see significant challenges for companies and accounting firms in the market. Not only regarding sustainability but also in the development of data analysis and AI. This presents enormous opportunities for us to improve and streamline our work, thereby enhancing quality even further. By usage of new tools, we can approach our work differently. That's where I want to focus my efforts on. I see it as a kind of oncoming revolution with much to gain. What particularly appeals to me about Grant Thornton is our growth ambition and the strength of our international network. Diksha Basant – Assurance

Diksha Bassant – Assurance

Diksha has been working within the Grant Thornton International network for 14 years. Her journey began at Grant Thornton, South Africa, as a trainee accountant after finishing her bachelor's degree in accounting at the University of Cape Town. After finishing her education and the qualification as a chartered accountant, she sought to broaden her experience at Grant Thornton in the United Kingdom and the United States. Since 2017, she has progressed from manager to senior manager at Grant Thornton in Amsterdam. Diksha's global experience reflects her adaptability, resilience, passion for international business, and commitment to the Grant Thornton family. Her client portfolio exists of medium to large international companies, with whom she collaborates with other member firms. In addition to a focus on quality, Diksha actively contributes to the development of people, professionalization in the audit profession, and international collaboration.

Dooitze Dijkstra - Tax

Dooitze Dijkstra

Dooitze joined the company in early 2019 as a senior manager and has been leading the national tax advisory practice at the Amsterdam office ever since. After completing his studies in tax law at the University of Groningen and the NOB program, he gained extensive experience in advising on national and international tax issues at two other medium-sized accountancy and tax advisory firms in Amsterdam (specializing in corporate tax and having a strong affinity for complex compliance assignments). His current client portfolio includes mid-corporate and (large) family businesses, high-net-worth individuals, including several (international) top athletes and artists. In addition to his client work, Dooitze is involved in overseeing the tax practice and mentoring colleagues, as well as internal changes and processes within Grant Thornton, including the development and expansion of the national corporate tax practice.

Sander Agterhof – Tax 

Sander Agterhof

Sander began his tax career in 2001 at the Tax Administration, where he built a broad foundation in taxation at a small accounting firm. Over the past 17 years, he has specialized in (international) payroll tax, income tax, and social security at EY. After completing his study in Management, Economics, and Law, he pursued his Master's in Taxation at the University of Amsterdam. Sander serves a wide range of clients, from startups and scale-ups to large multinationals. In addition to his extensive client network nationally and internationally, he also maintains close relationships with various ministries, the Tax Administration, and non-profit organizations. He is highly active in advising on, and developing equity-based compensation schemes and is part of an advisory group closely involved in the development of recent stock option legislation.

Michiel Maas – TaxMigiel Maas

Michiel studied tax law at Tilburg University and began his career in 2003 as an analyst within Deloitte's Corporate & International Tax Team. Over the past 20 years, he has worked in various (multidisciplinary) teams with a broad client portfolio consisting of international (listed) companies and large family businesses in the Consumer Business industry.

In recent years, Michiel has served as Tax Director and ‘trusted advisor’, overseeing comprehensive tax services. Michiel has extensive experience managing a variety of international tax projects, including establishment, financing, and restructuring issues, both as an advisor and interim corporate tax specialist. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors.

Michiel: "In my commercial role, I want to give an impulse to the ambition to grow in large internationally operating (family) companies. As a connector, it's my passion to build sustainable relationships to ultimately fulfill the role of trusted advisor. Marc Tersteeg – General PracticeMarc Tersteeg

Marc started at Grant Thornton's, location Woerden after completing his accountancy education at the Hogeschool Utrecht in 2004. He quickly rose to the position of Senior Manager and was appointed Director in 2022. In 2010, he completed the training to become a Registered Tax Advisor (RB), and in the same year, he obtained his AA title. Marc combines his knowledge of accountancy and tax advice in his work for family businesses and other companies in the SME sector. His client portfolio, which includes many clients he has served for over 20 years, is mainly in the manufacturing sector, construction, transportation, IT services, and consultancy. These are dynamic companies where a lot happens and where there is a great need for a sparring partner.

Bajro Umisic – General Practice

After completing his accountancy studies, Bajro began his career in 2014 at a regional firm before joining EY in 2016. Since 2020, Bajro has been working at Grant Thornton as a public accountant specializing in advising international clients on reporting. Additionally, he supports clients - in collaboration with Grant Thornton's international network - in outsourcing financial compliance. His portfolio includes a wide range of international companies in various sectors such as technology, trade, and services.

Bajro: "I enjoy working in a dynamic environment where diverse perspectives come together. Collaborating across borders with colleagues from our international network aligns perfectly with this. It is fulfilling to provide concrete solutions for our clients' compliance challenges alongside a multidisciplinary team. Quality is paramount in this process. Arjan Visser – AdvisoryArjan Visser

During his studies in Accountancy in Rotterdam, Arjan joined Grant Thornton part-time. In his early years, he worked in the accounting practice. In 2006, he took on interim roles as Head of Administration and Financial Controller before internally transitioning to Corporate Finance, where he specialized in Business Valuation. Since 2020, he has been responsible for the Valuation Services unit, where he handles valuation issues for mergers & acquisitions, taxation, reporting, and disputes. Arjan is registered as a Register Valuator with the NIRV and is listed as a Judicial Expert in the fields of Business Valuation and Economic Damage with the LRGD.

Arjan: "I believe that better decisions are made when you know the value of your alternatives. With the team, I work daily with the question 'what is it worth? (and more importantly, under what conditions is it worth it?)'. Our analyses enable clients to make thoughtful choices to invest, make acquisitions, or create value by bringing more focus.
